RICHARD OBERREITER (CEO - Founder) is a management professional and attorney with over 22 years of experience. He spent nine years as an officer with the US Navy and practiced business and commercial law in California before moving into executive management. He was the COO of Logic Team, a developer of web delivered financial analysis systems and since 2002 he has been associated with Waterstone Capital Partners a management consulting firm and has acted as interim management for a variety of enterprises who are either in a turnaround or rapid growth situation. He is on the Board of Directors of two privately held companies and a trustee of a non-profit in Newport Beach, CA. Mr. Oberreiter holds a MBA from USC, JD from Whittier College and a BA from UCLA.
WENDY BURDEN (Chief Financial Officer) has an extensive background in corporate finance and operations with branded consumer packaged goods and specialty retail companies. She spent 18 years with PepsiCo and served as a CFO in both their domestic and international operations. After PepsiCo, she joined Limited Brands as the CFO for Victoria's Secret before becoming EVP, Business Strategy and Operations. Most recently, she was the COO for Pacific Sunwear of California, a teen specialty apparel retailer. Ms. Burden received her MBA from New York University's Stern School and also holds a BS from the University at Albany.
JAMES PEREYRA (Chief Marketing Officer) has over 15 years experience in marketing, public relations, and senior management within the consumer product/ aesthetic industry. Mr. Pereyra served as CEO, Chairman, and founder of fenix skincare from 1999 to 2007. During this time Mr. Pereyra oversaw the development and established fenix as a leading player in the professional marketplace, and orchestrated the sale of the company in 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Pereyra has been fortunate to play a key role in branding strategy, PR, and marketing on numerous projects within the beauty and entertainment industry. Mr. Pereyra holds a BA from UCLA and is currently pursuing his MBA at USC’s Marshall School of Business.
PHILIP CHARLTON (Senior Vice President International Distribution) founded Photo Therapeutics Limited (PTL) in 1998, and led a pre-IPO financing round that raised $25m for that company in 2000 from institutional investors. He served as Finance and Business Development Director for PTL from 2000 until 2008, responsible for establishing and developing the Omnilux light therapy technology to a pre-eminent position in the sector throughout Europe, SE Asia and Australia. Previously he was joint Managing Director of a venture capital linked technology development company associated with the University of Manchester and developed 15 new companies during a three year period, including five medical equipment companies. Between 1986 and 1997 he was Vice President of European Operations with GenRad Inc, during which period he undertook a number of business turnarounds in the manufacturing and service sectors. Mr. Charlton holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester, and was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK.
DONALD WINGERTER (Director) served as CEO of Sound Surgical Technologies LLC a developer and manufacturer of ultrasound surgical systems from June 2002 through August 2006 and continued on the board of directors until 2007. Previously, he was a founder, Chairman and CEO of ClearVision Laser Centers, Inc., with more than 50 centers located throughout the US. Clear Vision was a leading company in the field of laser vision correction and was sold to TLC. From 1988 to 1995, he was President and CEO of companies involved in the distribution of medical equipment, including MRI, PET, and CAT scanning machines. In 1990 his diagnostic imaging sales firm, Western Imaging Technologies, Inc., achieved annual sales of $25 million and was sold to Toshiba America Medical Systems. He also developed multiple cardiac catheterization laboratories and diagnostic imaging centers, including the $6.5 million Denver Medical Imaging Center. Previously, Mr. Wingerter spent 11 years with General Electric Medical Systems, rising to the position of National Sales Manager for Diagnostic X-Ray Products, in which he shared profit and loss responsibility for a business unit with annual sales of $175 million. Mr. Wingerter holds a BA in biology from Lafayette College an MS in Physiology from Rutgers University.
RICHARD CLEMENT, M.D. (Founder - Director) graduated from the University of Virginia medical school. He completed a general surgery residency and plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Washington University/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. After his plastic surgery residency, he completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at Massachusetts General/Newton-Wellesley Hospitals in Boston. After fellowship he was invited to join the faculty of the Washington University Medical School, where he was an assistant professor of surgery. In 1988 he opened a private plastic surgery practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is now the director of Foothills Plastic Surgery. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Clement is a successful angel investor.
JEFFREY JONES (Director) is the CEO of Technology4Medicine, LLC. Mr. Jones is a well-regarded veteran of the medical and dental laser industry having served as CEO of Biolase (BLTI) and HGM Medical Lasers Systems. While at Biolase, Mr. Jones was responsible for growing the company to $70 million in revenues and a 70 to 80 percent market share in dental lasers.
LAWRENCE JOHNSON (Director) has been involved in all phases of the corporate life cycle for several emerging growth companies - from the development of strategy to the elaboration and execution of operating plans. He has served as CEO, COO and in other senior positions in sales and business development. He is currently the CEO of Revedia, a leading provider of digital marketing services to major retailers and digital media companies.
Mr. Johnson started his career in sales with IBM, and has worked for 20 years with emerging growth companies. His accomplishments include the sale of Yellowpages.com to AT&T. He currently owns Indextree.com a leading web marketing firm. He holds a Bachelors degree in commerce from McGill University and a law degree from the University of Montréal.
